I don’t think it’ll surprise anyone when I say that AI is changing everything. And it might be for the good.
It has been a long time since in-person interaction meant anything. Everything has been online for quite some time; since 2004, most of our world has been transporting/transported itself online. Now, we are in an age where bots seemingly control social media, AI is scraping the web to give you answers, and if you venture into the internet you have no real idea of what’s true.
I can see an upcoming rebellion against it. I can see people forgoing the internet to do things in person because, in person, there is a modicum of trust that can be built. I can use my senses and discernment to feel you out; I don’t need to wonder if you’re a bot.
I can use my AI tools and then leave the internet again. Return to real life where I interact with real people and real objects. AI may be the thing that gets us to leave the internet and return to real life.
